Installation

Theme Requirement

Sonus theme requires WordPress 4 or greater. Php 5.3 or greater. If you have a older version, please contact your hosting provider and tell them upgrade your php and Mysql. It is not safe using older version of these.

Hosting Tips

Some hosting providers give a One click install wordpress features like dreamhost,bluehost etc... Please ask your hosting providers this features exist or not.

Your hosting must be support the following features,
1. PHP 5.3 or greater
2. MySQL 5.0 or greater
3. The mod_rewrite Apache module
If you already have this features, please following steps.
Firstly, You should download Wordpress in offical wordpress sites.

Time to upload our files to server. You have to have a ftp accounts and ftp software. We are suggest Filezilla. It's open source. Connect your Ftp, and find and open "www", "public_html" etc.. file. After create a folder like "wordpress". Drag and drop your files to wordpress folder. It takes a 2-3 minutes, please be patience, dont touch anything when the uploading done.
You can create a database when the uploading files to server. If you are use Cpanel this video to show the way how can you create database. If you are use dreamhost you should watch this video. If you are use different hosting as we mentioned above, please contact your hosting provider, ask them create a database for you. And finally copy your db name, db user name, db user pass.
Now we are in easist part.Please open your web site if ftp upload is done. You will see screen like the below. And choose your language, click continue.
Paste your database information to input fields. After click submit button.

Database Connect Error

Localhost is not works some hosting company, you should replace your database address like http://mysql.domainname.com. If you still trouble, please ask your hosting provider.

Table Prefix Tips

Wordpress automaticly add "wp_" on your database table name, You can change this what do you want. If you have installed database in phpmyadmin, you have to set a different database name.
Click Run the install button the next page. Then you will see password and blog information fields page, customization what do you want and click install wordpress button. Done!

How to install wordpress theme?

Theme Requirement

If you're installing Sonus Theme on your old content please use https://tr.wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/. Regenerate your images for new theme.

How to install Sonus theme?

Go to dashboard and click Appearance > Themes on menu.
Click Add New on top. After that click Upload link.
Click Choose File and select the already extracted Sonus.zip file from the downloaded package. Click the Install Now button.
That's it, Sonus WP Theme has been uploaded to your WordPress Themes.

Install problems

If you give an error like “Are You Sure You Want To Do This”, please contact your hosting provider for increase upload limit.

Go to your wp admin dashboard. Click Appearance > Themes.
Click activate button on Sonus screenshot image.
Now our theme is activated. We need to install our required plugin.
1. KingComposer
2. Contact Form 7
3. Sonus Framework
Go to Appearance > Install Plugins or click Begin installing plugins link on top.
Click Install after click activate. That's all. Now our plugin are installed.

How to make your theme like a demo Page?

1 Click :Now after these steps we can load our demo data and make our theme look like demo. Please follow these steps.

You can load demo site just 1 click. Go to Sonus Options and select Demo Importer.
Click Import Demo. That's all!

Manual :Now after these steps we can load our demo data and make our theme look like demo. Please follow these steps.

Go to tools and import. Click wordpress, if you didn't use it before it'll be download and install.
Now click browse button and choose demo-data.xml file from Downloaded Theme Package > Demo_Data folder.
Now click to Download and import file attachments and submit. This progress take 3-4 minutes. You must wait when the installation complete. And don't make any changes on site.

Import problems

If your hosting cant get images, please uncheck "Download and import file attachments" and import again.
Now after the demo data installation go to Appereance > Widgets from dashboard. Now we configure footer and sidebar widgets. Wordpress import cant get retrieve widgets. You should add manually.
Now we'll activate the menu. Go to Appearance > Menus from dashboard.
Click Manage Locations
Choose Nav Menu from Top Menu select box. And click Save Changes. Our menu is ready!
That's all! Your theme is ready and looking like demo page. Have a fun!
